I’m Hannah (Han-Shin) Shing, a UX designer with a strong information background and hands-on experience in both UX design and research. I have extensive experience using Figma to build and maintain robust design systems, as well as creating highly interactive prototypes that bring designs to life.
Through two finance-focused internships, I’ve mastered conducting user research, leading usability testing, and transforming insights into impactful, technically feasible design solutions. Currently, I’m pursuing an MS in Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Maryland, specializing in generative AI-driven UX design and accessibility.

Interface Design & Design System Integration: Redesigned and standardized shared components across two internal tablet apps used by insurance agents, integrating optimized modules into the existing Figma-based design system to enhance consistency and ensure maintainability
Visual Design: Designed 5 App Store promo images for Nan Shan Fast-ID, aligned with brand guidelines
Heuristic Evaluation & Usability Testing: Identified and addressed 22 UX issues in a B2B2C insurance platform through heuristic evaluations and 6 usability tests
Research Process SOP: Standardized the usability testing process by developing SOP documentation, improving team efficiency and ensuring procedural consistency

• Concept Testing: Led testing to assess user acceptance of new trading methods through 7 prototype testing and interviews, providing actionable insights for cross-functional teams
• Usability Testing: Led testing for a new app version, driving 25 interface and user flow improvements
• Customer Acquisition Research: Conducted 17 in-depth interviews, validating new app features' potential to enhance the trading experience and drive new user acquisition
• Data Visualization: Built a real-time customer satisfaction dashboard based on 200+ NPS questionnaires utilizing Tableau, enabling the leadership team to make data-driven decisions for service improvements
