I’m Hannah (Han-Shin) Shing, a product designer with an information background who connects research, design, technology, and strategy to build thoughtful digital experiences.
I see design as a way to balance constraints and creativity, whether it’s navigating finance regulations, managing technical limitations, or aligning with business goals. My process is rooted in evidence and collaboration, from uncovering insights to building scalable design systems.
I’ve applied this mindset across finance, healthcare, and transportation, and I’m eager to bring it to new industries, learning quickly and collaborating across disciplines. :)
Designing Like an ISFJ
My ISFJ side shapes how I design — observant, structured, empathetic, and intentional in every detail.
I - Introvert
#Observer’s Eye 👀
I like listening more than talking. During usability tests or interviews, I notice subtle cues — a user’s tone or hesitation — and follow up with gentle questions to understand what’s behind them. Those moments often lead to insights that data alone can’t show.
S - Sensing
#System Organizer 🧩
I find comfort in structure and patterns. I bring clarity to complex work, turning research chaos into templates and note systems that flow from observation to insight. In design, I structure Figma components so the logic feels intuitive and collaboration stays smooth.
F - Feeling
#Empathetic Thinker 💛
I care about how people feel, not just what they do. Empathy guides how I balance logic with emotion, especially when designing finance or healthcare products. I test language, tone, and interaction feedback to make sure users feel supported, not stressed.
J - Judging
#Planner by Nature 🗓️
I like connecting today’s work to tomorrow’s goals. In research, I plan studies with clear scopes and timelines to turn insights into action. In design, I think about scalability and long-term impact, how systems evolve and how thoughtful planning keeps teams aligned.
